‘A Night of Immigrant Stories’ Los Angeles.

The immigrant narrative goes beyond our local walls. It’s part of a shared experience connecting us across nations & borders, building unlikely alliances. That’s what placing this film I made, as part of a series of others screening in LA, is about. Go big or go home I always say

………………

The short film I made entitled ‘Power of Legacy’ reflects on the experience of being the son of Bangladeshi immigrants to the UK,will be screened at The Landmark in West LA as part of a series entitled ‘A Night of Immigrant Stories’. It will accompany four other films to be played, one of them is ‘Andrea’ a story of the Mexican immigrant experience in the US.

I connected with the filmmaker of ‘Andrea’ who approached me to create the animated titles for his film. I realised quite quickly the brilliant synergy we had and before we knew it my film was being screened as a backdrop to his film in Los Angeles.
